Hotel Oak Valley Residency is a small and cosy hotel in the hilly lanes of Dalhousie. From afar, the hotel looks like a private residence sporting a porch in the front and a corner devoted as a sit-out area during the chilly winters. Inside, the reception, lobby and the restaurant shares one space and leads to the restaurant area separated by a glass partition. Rooms The hotel offers a total of 12 rooms divided into 2 Executive rooms, 5 Super Deluxe rooms and 5 Deluxe rooms. The Executive room is bright and has carpeted floors. A huge double bed occupies the centre of the room and has a seating area beside it. Besides this, a satellite television, telephone/intercom, study desk cum dressing mirror, luggage rack and cupboard constitute the other amenities. There is an attached bathroom here, which has a shower cubicle, geyser and amenities like soap, towel and toilet paper. The Super Deluxe room and the Deluxe room are quite similar, but small compared to the Executive room. Being the higher category of room, this room is larger and offers a more beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Dining The restaurant stands adjoining the lobby and can accommodate a total of 54 persons. The decor is rather loud with heavily ornate chair and tables. The seating is arranged in groups of four and six and has a buffet table in a corner. This multi cuisine restaurant and serves a variety of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. Himachali, Gujarati and Punjabi cuisines can be prepared on special request. Facilities The hotel's services include doctor on call, car rental service, travel assistance, internet at an extra charge, sightseeing, cultural programmes, trekking, musical evenings, parking facility and laundry service and room service. Massages can be arranged on request. Location The Oak Valley Residency is located near the bus stand in Dalhousie about 80 kilometres from the Kangra airport and 80 kilometres from the Pathankot railway station.
