HRS is one of only five Internet shops rated "very good"
COMPUTER BILD magazine gives thumbs up to HRS Terms & Conditions. HRS was one of only five tested Web sites that received the grade "1" and were thus rated "very good". This put HRS in the top spot among travel and hotel booking providers. The Computer Bild test assessed the General Terms & Conditions of 57 online shops and services.

HRS wins IT INNOVATION PRIZE 2010
Prize-winning solutions for mobile hotel-booking: HRS has been awarded the Initiative Mittelstand IT INNOVATION PRIZE. Thanks to its mobile hotel-booking solutions, HRS was able to overcome some 2000 fellow entrants to win the "mobile" category in the national competition.

HRS ranked top by German consumer watchdog
Consumer magazine Stiftung Warentest tested the hotel evaluation functions of six booking portals and seven evaluation portals for its 2/2010 issue. HRS was ranked "good" in both the 'Evaluation Input' and 'Hotel Information' categories, putting it in the top spot overall in the comparison of booking portals. With a score of 2.2 in the 'Evaluation Input' category (1 being excellent and 6 poor), HRS was head and shoulders ahead of its direct competitors, while a 2.1 rating in the 'Hotel Information' category put it in even better position.

HRS named 'brand of the century'
HRS has been awarded the Markenpreis der Deutschen Standards prize and is therefore one of Germany's 'brands of the century'. This year the panel also considered online brands for the first time. The selected companies are portrayed in the 16th, fully-revised and expanded edition of the best-selling directory 'Marken des Jahhunderts'.

More and companies are looking to transparency and standardisation as a way to save money. They are therefore turning to HRS for their hotel bookings. Interface for external channel management on HRS
HRS now offers its partner hotels an XML interface. The company has thereby opened itself up to external channel management systems like, for example, channel direct, cultuzz, DIRS21 and Rate Tiger. Hoteliers who use "channel manager" systems to adapt their prices and capacities can therefore use these to work quickly and reliably with HRS.

HRS goes iGoogle
The personalised iGoogle homepage has a new useful gadget. From now on, Google users can add the HRS hotel search function to their personal iGoogle page and therefore bring HRS's entire range of hotel-related services to their computer screen. The new tool provides fast, simple access to the HRS global electronic hotel reservation system containing more than 230,000 hotels in all categories in 180 countries.

Net Promoter Score B2B prize goes to HRS
HRS has won the special Net Promoter Score B2B 2009 prize for its outstanding recommendation rate by corporate customers. The Net Promoter score is an index that gauges how likely it is that a customer will recommend a company or service to others. HRS notched up a sensational 98-percent promotion rate among surveyed corporate customers in a poll to find Germany's most customer-oriented service provider; a proportion that far outstripped all other rivals in the sector.

Better occupancy levels for hotel chains
Europe's leading online hotel reservation portal has a new marketing opportunity for hotel chains that are keen to increase their occupancy levels. HRS is introducing a "hotel chains" category to the HRS theme hotel area of its site. The move gives powerful hotel chains a permanent presence on HRS and enables them to present all the hotels in a particular brand as well as their special advantages and characteristics in detail. This will also help customers look specifically for hotels in a preferred chain.

Thanks to an alliance with Sixt and Avis, two of the world's leading car rental firms, HRS now also offers car hire. HRS's customers can therefore now book their hotel accommodation and reserve their hire car directly on www.hrs.de. Users who have already chosen a suitable hotel will also have a link to the two rent-a-car partners on their booking confirmation.

FutureHotel: HRS supports predictive survey
The Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) is conducting a research project entitled "FutureHotel: Visions and Solutions for the Hotels of Tomorrow" and conducted to look into current trends and their possible effects on the hotels of the future. HRS is a key partner in this research project, in part by gathering the required data. Thanks to its many years' experience in the field, HRS is also perfectly placed to supply facts and figures about the domestic and international hotel industry and provide subject-specific know-how and benchmarks.

DasÖrtliche mobile portal offering free hotel booking through HRS
DasÖrtliche has become the only provider in Germany to enable users of its mobile directory enquiries portal (mobil.dasoertliche.de) to book hotels free of charge through HRS. Users who search the DasÖrtliche site for hotels on their mobile phone are now automatically pointed to HRS hotels. Clicking on one of these hotels makes a freephone call to the HRS call centre, where the hotel can be booked directly. And if the desired hotel is already fully booked, the hotel-booking experts HRS can find a suitable alternative quickly and easily.
