1990
Following reunification, two editions of a special catalogue are published to include hotels in Germany's eastern states. Twelve HRS staff travel around Germany for weeks tracking down appropriate accommodation for HRS customers and photographing hotels for the catalogue.
1989
HRS becomes the first online hotel reservation system on BTX, Deutsche Telekom's new teletext service. Users can enter all the details of their booking on screen and receive immediate confirmation of their booking on screen.
The first edition of a hotel catalogue for industry is published, with special business rates.
1988
A separate department is created to act as a reservation hotline with immediate confirmation by telephone. Its staff are all hotel industry specialists.

1986
HRS produces its first, 400-page international hotel directory, which lists not "from-to", but guaranteed fixed prices for single and double rooms. Bookings at these special HRS prices are confirmed immediately.
1985
HRS develops its own computer reservation system. HRS staff can instantly see on their computer which hotels still have vacancies, and can book rooms without contacting the hotel first.
